Our online SMSTS courses are CITB accredited and can be taken at one of our six training centers in Central and South East England, where new SMSTS courses start weekly and most weekends.
The Site Management Safety Training Program (SMSTS) is a five-day course designed for aspiring site managers or site managers. Designed for those responsible for management, monitoring, operations and reporting in construction environments.
The curriculum covers health, safety and environmental laws that affect safe working in the building, construction and civil engineering industries. This emphasizes the need for workplace risk assessments. Implementation of necessary control measures and adequate communication to maintain a culture of health and safety among employees.
There are no formal entry requirements, however, delegates must undertake or assume the role of site manager. Prior knowledge of health and safety is recommended. Those with no prior experience in health and safety management are encouraged to attend the two-day SSSTS course. Representatives must have sufficient written and spoken English proficiency for effective operations. At the site management level
The SMSTS course is recognized by Build UK as standard training for all construction managers.
Upon success, the certificate is valid for 5 years, so keep it. Completion of the SMSTS refresher course is required before your certificate expires.
